Friday

Open Season ... on fruit. Who knew they'd start putting ads on fruit stickers. Tip: steer clear of any fruit advertising really old releases!

Thursday

"Buckel"-up with the latest fashion accessory - a flashing belt buckle. Not sure if you can configure the message or if you're stuck with a pre-programmed tidbit like ... I'm single. And they come in different colours (for the message) and finishes (for the buckle)

Wednesday

The moment ... two people in their PJs watching the Anzac Day service at Elephant Rock, Currumbin, Queensland via the Channel 7 Sunrise program, and weeping just a little.

Tuesday

I managed to get the camera out but could not get a clear shot of city street, rain, and a lone rainbow umbrella amidst a sea of black ones.

Monday

This is the view from my office window. For the last few months we have all been watching the building work across the road. Some days are more interesting than others ... and one day we may find out what the concrete circle is for!

Sunday

Post Cafe, Marrickville NSW.

Saturday

So how many council workers does it take to do roadwork? We passed this lot (is this 8 or 9 not counting the driver) in a street not far from home.

Friday

This is actually from last week - and I'm calling it "The Face of Broadbeach". While we were lunching, we spied the camera and Tara Moss (for the second time in an hour or so) and surmised - with a little help from our friends M&L who are locals - that we were seeing the new "Face of Broadbeach" except that in this photo, you can't actually see her face.

Thursday

Reg spent most of the time while I was away on holidays looking at a blank computer screen. Unfortunately, Reg may be in for a shock regarding the level of non-corporate content this little giraffe can expect in future. Pain in the neck material, perhaps?

Wednesday

Reflections on the city ... well, to be precise, reflection of the QVB building on the Glass (the restaurant) windows at the Hilton Hotel, George Street, Sydney.

Tuesday

Passionfruit vine fruit.

Monday

Burleigh beach. Only a memory now, but at least I have photographs!

Sunday

Wood chop at Sydney's Easter (RAS) Show.

Saturday

Even on holidays we got to play with feline friends. Tink (Tinky Two Shoes) is one of four at LC and she likes helping with the horses. She recently survived a snake bite but that hasn't kept her from enjoying the great outdoors.

Friday

You wouldn't catch me this close to a horse's head ... but this little bird stayed there for a good while - every so often flying in closer to try to nip some hair from an equestrian chin.

Thursday

Rather than carrying around credit-card-sized membership cards, here's some you can carry around on your key ring. What a good idea!

Wednesday

Big Dad's is a brand of pie up here in Queensland - and they certainly have made use of what some would call Dad humour ... check ou the green writing.

Wednesday

Time for some rest and recreation on holidays - although this version of Sudoku might not be just what the relaxation doctor ordered.

Tuesday

We will be celebrating my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary on the weekend and my brother and his wife set out on this project - which was actually more complex than you might think. How to get the writing the right size, and the wave coming in at the right angle to wash over it - but take a photograph as it approached. (Kim's parents are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary in a couple of weeks' time too - what are the odds of that?)

Monday

It seems that all the Day In Focus shots lately have been of the night. You will need to click on the image to get rid of the jagged edges (they keep showing up in preview and I know they're not there).

Sunday

And far up the beach, Surfers Paradise - rising out of the surf mist and towering large over the seascape ...

Saturday

Earth Hour. At 7.30pm ... please turn off your lights for an hour and show your support for saving the environment. But don't worry about it if you are on holidays seems to have been another message some heard.
